lighting for 10 gal halfmoon
just recently purchased the tetra 10 gal halfmoon pretty interesting tank. ive set it up salt water with about 3 inch's of live sand and 12-15lbs of live rock. got just a clown fish few hermit crabs 2 blue leg crabs and one (petco called it cleaner shrimp) i'm not exactly sure what it is lol. id like to make it a reef tank just got question on lighting its about (17inchs deep btw).i was looking at the Ecoxotic PAR38 LED Aquarium Lamp 21watt 20,000K (3 - Royal Blue / 2 - White) for it with diy mount and was just wondering if that should work for it or is there any other recommendations for it.

I have the same tank but set up as freshwater. I would say a PAR38 would be an excellent choice, but considering it's such a tall and narrow tank, you may want to consider some optics (perhaps 60°) to focus the light down tight and reach the bottom.

The Ecoxotic PAR38 LED lamp has 40° optics.. (at least that is the spec listed on mariedepot.com)
