Ok so I stopped by my local shop today and he told me to he would get a t5 fixture.Said the bulbs are cheaper and just a better fixture to have.So another question is what kind of t5 fixture is good.It looks like there is regular and a high output.Which one is the one I need for coral.

yes it can suffice for softies but i will never use them again they dont really give off enough par for good growth. T5's is what i would suggest for a decent price but if you have the money i would go with aqua illum led setups but you will spend a lil over a grand on the led's

Definitely go with the T5's over those PC's. seeing how your looking at the 48" fixture their, assuming it's either a 55, 75, or 90 maybe something like a 6 x 54 T5 fixture? I've used a 4 bulb and 6 bulb in the past. If my current tank was 48" i'd be putting that 6 bulb over it but as it's only a 58g I'll be looking into a DIY LED thingie instead.

T5s are more energy efficient for the amount of light they put out. Depending on the size of your tank I'd go for 6 bulbs if you have a deeper/wider tank. Plus you have more color combinations with t-5s.

It kind of depends on what kind of coral you want to keep. Zoas, softies and some lps will do fine with the PC. Most corals will grow with the t5.

Definitely do T5's over PC's. Bulbs are cheaper, you have a better selection of colors, and they give you more usable light for less electricity / heat
