Algae Control

I currently have a refugium that has chaeto, bryopsis, and some blueish algae in it. In my display though I have a little bit of bryopsis and red slime algae. What can I do to make the chaeto grow more and beat out the other algaes?

all depends

I guess it all depends on your tank. Like how old the tank is and what is in it. Also what type of lighting are you using to grow it in the first place. You can test your water and still read low since your algea is consuming the phosphate and nitrates.

Chaeto isn't going to beat out bryopsis. I'd go ahead and start elevating mag, bryopsis is much easier to eradicate before it gets a stranglehold. Foster and Smith have tech-m on sale right now.

In my experiance - magnesium dose with multiple water changes - then Chemi-pure elite. It's awesome!
