Sump Size for a 220 gallon

Hey guys I am setting up a Fish only 220. I am trying to figure out my sump and refugium. Them combined would be close to 105 gallons of total water.

The sump is 48x14x24

Then the refugium is 24x14x24

Let me know if this is big enough or thoughts?

It is big enough. The major issue with sump size is having enough room for everything. Larger tanks need bigger skimmers and return pumps. Also the smaller the sump the slower the flow will have to be. I don't care how many baffles you have if the flow is too fast for the sump you will get micro bubbles.

Ya I would have a solid skimmer inside and then an exterior pump, so it would leave space in my sump.

I would think it's more than enough. If you have space, I've seen people have the sump almost the size of display tank.

Ok I can go bigger if I need to but I was just making sure it is big enough. It seems like it is.

As long as you can fit everything you want in there it is big enough. The usual recomendation is to get the biggest sump you can afford/fit in there. Bigger is better.
