WOW, I'm amazed (& pretty insulted) that nobody has heard of him, The guy was an absolute legend. He was the man who first created Rigid PVC tubing.

Seriously? He created rigid PVC tubing and I am supposed to have heard of him? Hell, I don't know who the guy guy was who invented the computer, the modern automobile, or about five dozen other things that I use (read: take for granted) daily. Certainly I am not going to know the name of the guy that invented rigid PVC tubing. A Google search indicates almost nobody else does either.
Just saying what's most probably on everyone's mind right about now...

I googled his name and the only thing that came up was this thread. Perhaps by legend, you mean he wasn't a real person?

Herman died so that people like us could own a aquarium, he fought for what he believed in, & after a massive legal battle he finally secured the rights to sell rigid PVC tubing, which in turn revolutionised the hobby, the guy was amazing & an absolute legend...please show some respect.

Where can we find some of this info?
You say he died so we could own an aquarium? In what way? I thought rigid PVC tubing has been around as long as I have been in the hobby (15+ years). I am curious about your claims, please post some details or links to this typwe of info.
