Vortech Question

I have a 40g tank with a wall aquascaping in the middle of the tank. So far im getting some dead spots with my koralia evo 750 and nano power heads. So i was planning on upgrading to vortech power heads.

MY questions is should i get one mp40 or 2 mp10s (one on each side) for optimal results. So far my tank is mainly LPS but im slowly switching over into a SPS dominated tank as my tank matures.

2 Mp10 should do it. on a 40g, im guessing its 36" since its not a breeder? at 36", two mp10s should do the trick.

Yeah its 36'' long. Time to start saving for these bad boys.

Im just really sick of some the crap that builds up in some of my dead spots. I turkey baste them everyday, getting quite tedious, and i cant seem to figure out the perfect set up for the current power heads

2x mp10wes would rock your tank.

You have to be a member for x amount of days and have 60 meaningful posts. I think you will have to wait a couple months before being able to see them.

If it makes you feel better they hold their value so your not saving a ton buying used.

both. The good thing is they are adjustable so you can turn them down .

Do you have a pic of the rock wall?

No they will def not get dominated. the pumps will give you just the right amount of flow if you adjust accordingly.

Go with the 2 MP10's. Have a 40 breeder and the 2 pumps working with each other is just about perfect. I do not have the wireless version but having both on reef crest mode is random enough and my SPS agrees.

I use it in the reef crest mode, which I think a lot of other reefer uses. There was a poll somewhere on reefcentral. Try the different modes and see what you like.
