vortech battery backup not working?
I lost power last Saturday and when the pump lost power the battery backup kicked on just like it should. It ran for 36 hours like it should but then I was having problems running it again.
After it initially died..I hooked up my generator to the tank and also the battery backup plug in. After 6 hours of the generator I would think that that battery backup would power my vortech again...instead, it would start to run and then blink a green/red on the vortech. What does this mean? When I finally got power back..on wednesday..I hooked back up everything to the wall socket. After 6 hours I wanted to see if the backup battery would work again and it was doing the same thing. Does anyone know what is going on? I've read that it takes 12 hours to fully charge the backup battery, but I would think after 6 hours it would at least run the vortech like it should. I tested the battery backup by unplugging the power source from the vortech simulating no power.
