AI discounts. Was there a new product at Macna or something?

Does anyone know if AI just released an all new product at MANCA or something? Becuase one of their distributors just significantly dropped prices on AI SOL units, down to only 399!

Competition in LED markets.. Also, they are working on a new product codename Pheonix. Check my post earlier today about it.

I figured it had to be something new, those units were flying off the shelves a month ago and now they dropped in price by $100
Going to have to check out that Phoenix.....

Thanks. Found the r--fbuilders articles about the new AI products. Wireless, individually controller units, which can create a sweeping sunrise/sunset or weather pattern is neet. But I dont like the sinlge row of lights on that Phoeniz model - not enough spread coverage for my tastes or tank needs. Plus, i control via my Apex. Glad to stick with my SOLs.

Also glad I got mine at enough of a discount that the new price drop isnt much of a difference, but still a slight "Doh" moment, since mine are only three months old.

And good to see the AI is continueing R&D and seeking to move forward, even if the particular product isnt for me.

got 3 sol blues last week @ aqua cave and called them and they will price match for the 399.99 price.

Said it would take 7-10 business days.
If you recently got them, just call where you bought them and see what they'll do for ya.

That's right. The worst they can say is "No", but I would imagine that most retailers would honor the request.

In the same boat as you ENS. This happens all the time with technology. It would be really generous of AI to offer their past/recent customers anything who bought in at the initial price.

Good luck with getting your money back!!... I could stores and retailers matching a new price but no one is going to give you money back if you brought the unit 2 weeks ago at a higher price!...

Current Tank Info: In process of designing/building new custom in-wall 330gl tank w/ 220gl sump system, LED lights, Neptune Apex controller, Deltec TC2560 skimmer, Deltec Kalk Rxtr, Ozone, and lots of other toys/equip. Moved in 2014, leaving prior in-wall tank.
