Par values for my 144 reef build
So I received my MQ-200 and went right to work. I've been waiting to take some par measurements before adding any SPS. I wanted to choose the best locations for different corals. I thought my values would be higher, but they are still in pretty good range for most of the SPS I want to keep. The lighting consists of two 400watt DE hamilton bulbs with the cayman sun reflectors. The light are 8" above the surface of the water. The 380 value in the center is 8" below the surface or 16" from the light source. The 200 value in the center on the bottom is 27.5" from the surface or 35.5" from the light. I get significant drop off in par on the both the right and left sides of the tank.
