can anyone walk me through a Reefkeeper Lite?

There may not be one person in the world who is less tech savvy than I am.
Can anyone walk me step by step through how to hook up my lights to my Reefkeeper Lite. I have tried but can't get them to work.
The instructions that came with it do not make any sense and I can't come up with what I need by googling it.
I need step by step for a 3rd grader if someone would be kind enough. All I need at this point are the lights.
Thanks!!

I will try briefly.

Get lights plugged into channel #1. ( I think I have my halides on plug #1, t5's on plug #2.) Hook up head unit to the dc4. Plug in. Go to outputs, enter, channel 1, enter,... and here you set type... lights.. MH. You can set start time and end time through that menu as well. There is also an option to set an alarm, and through this section you can set the light to turn off when temp is > something, referencing the iTemp probe.

Sometimes if the unit has just been plugged in the halides will be protected with a 15 min delay. This is to protect the bulbs in a power outage... so if it powers back on the bulbs don't come on right away.

Sorry this is all I have time for for now. Good luck!

When it gets to the point of asking auto, on or off do you hit the auto or the on? I tried it on the on. All lights are on right now, I hope they will start to turn off now tonight. Thanks for the help so far, I hope it will work.

You have to program the controller for a specific time frame. Only then can you use auto mode. It's very simple. Play with it. It wont break..lol.

Digital Aquatics revised their instruction manual and now even I can use it. Make sure you have the latest manual and if not, download it from DA's site. Believe me, if I can do this, you surely can.

My itemp reads error when I try to set it. I can't see anything in the manual about that unless I were to set factory defaults to see if that will fix it.

Don't bet on that. You've never seen me in action.

ON = Lights on all the time
OFF = Lights off all the time
AUTO = Controller controls the light as setup.

You need to go here with your questions http://www.forum.digitalaquatics.com/

If by any chance you have an SL1 or SL2 attached to your setup and do not have a temp probe plugged into it when you navigate through the different screens one of the temps will read error, you have to look for the itemp display if that makes any sense.
