skimmer size

How do you tell if you have to small of skimmer?

Look at the manufacturers recommended maximum tank size. Most manufacturers overrate their skimmers. It is customary to reduce the listed tank size my 50% or so.

Also have a decent brand of skimmer (doesn't have to be very expensive). Many skimmer such as a sea-clone will do a poor job regardless of tank size raiting.

Current Tank Info: 265 mixed reef, 110 fowlr, 40g fuge, 75g sump.
