Got my book, HAHA, you don't!!
Just got the new book, AND it's autographed by none other than the Honorable Mr. Calfo & the Distinguished Mr. Fenner. Wonderful book. Woohoo!
I actually had the good fortune to meet Anthony in sunny Arizona and share a couple beers. What a fabulous amount of useful knowledge he has, and a very friendly way of dispensing it. Some "authorities" in this hobby are either "stuffy" or they talk in lingo you can't really understand, or just give you WAAAAY too much information for a basic question. Anthony is definitely not this way. BTW, Anthony if you read this - can you remind me again what some of those schooling fish we talked about were? Beer affects my memory. I only remember Bartlett Anthias & Green Chromis. I thought you mentioned a Blue Chromis with a black stripe and a couple others. Lemme know a reputable dealer that can help me with that, if you can. Thanks again, hope to do it again sometime. David Fliger (handsome Asian guy with a Chiefs T-Shirt on) |

Cheers, David
I'm back in sunny San Diego with Bob... just finished signing all of the pre-orders to be posted Monday. Whew, yay... and finally! Thanks for the kind words my friend... it really is a blast to get around and chat with fellow aquarists. A labor of love, indeed. That lovely damselfish BTW is Chromis cyanea Do see more at fishbase.org here: http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/Spec...iesname=cyanea As far as a reputable dealer... I am adamently opposed to mail ordering livestock sight unseen. Avoid whenever possible. Since most marine fishes are still wild caught, it is tough for any dealer to "excel" when the product is variable from day to day (wild imports). Do seek a good local dealer/LFS to order them for you. In Tempe (?) I was unbelievably impressed with Aqua Touch. They are one of the very few retailers anywhere that QTs their fishes before selling them. Remarkable. I was also very impressed with the species selection and ownership (Kingsley) of Aquarium Arts. Looking forward to chatting with you again... had a blast with you/all/DMS. Really great club. Arizona folks... do check them out. Best regards, Anthony |
