How many fish can I QT at one time

I have a 40 Breeder and I got my first 2 fish today, a pair of Onyx Percs. I was wondering if I got a pair of firefish(already paired), could I QT all 4 fish at the same time.

I realize that if one of the fish is sick I can kill all 4, but I bought the clowns from a reputable source and I would get the firefish hopefully from DD which is reputable as well.

Thanks for the input guys
Dave

I don't see why not
I put quite a few fish in my 40b QT
I got 5 in there currently
I also medicate all fish in QT regardless

Do not medicate fish in qt. Medication may put them off their food, and may damage organs, leading to shorter lifespan.
Be sure to screen the top of the tank whenever firefish are involved.

I only planned to medicate if I saw something and can ID it.

You have the clowns, not the firefish, correct? If you add the firefish while the clowns are still in the QT, start your QT "countdown" over again. (if you were QT'ing for 6 weeks, the day you add the firefish you start your 6 week countdown again...)

I knew that, but thanks for pointing it out for anyone that may also be following this thread.

But yea, I am using a 6 week QT and I am only going to add the firefish if I can get them in the next week. Otherwise I will just wait.
