Exclamation Side of tank has like brown algae stuff?

Ok so I really haven't changed anything and now every few days I have to take my magnet glass cleaner and wipe off this brown like it looks like smoke when I rub it off, and in some spots it looks kinda stringy is this normal?

That's what you bought that magnet scraper for.

Do you have any snails in your tank? Mine don't eat all of that stuff, but they're constantly working on it. Between them eating and me scraping, it's stays pretty managable. I look at is a food source for them so I always leave a little bit of it for them.

Totally normal. Keep your Phosphates in check to control it along with a good cleaner crew.

+1 to the normal. Grab yourself some CUC if you dont have one or maybe beef it up a little and a magnetic glass cleaner. Should be fine as long as you are doing water changed and keeping the Phosphates down.

Hey just noticed your post... my brown algae "problem" <--in quotes is pretty much gone, just wait it out and keep up with the water changes, and scraping the sides... I usually scraped the sides then while all that goonk is in the water i sucked it out with the cleaner vaccuum and now I rarely have to wipe the sides down, dunno what it was or is but it seems to clear up after a while...
