Current Usa TrueLumen Pro LED Strip Light

Does anyone have any experience with the Current Usa 36" TrueLumen Pro LED Strip Light?

http://www.aquacave.com/current-usa-...rate-3273.html

I'm considering adding one of the deepwater blue 36" lights to my 2 x 250W 20K Radiums for dawn/dusk and accent color.

Thanks in advance.

Check out Ebay, great prices on there.

I'm interested in their Marine Fusion 12" strip for my tank.

Check out AquaCave.com. Their prices are slightly better, no tax, and $4.95 shipping.

Yes, they seem to have very good pricing on them.

For me, all I need is a single 12" strip and 1 power supply............approx. $100.

I switched to a different LED system after a couple months trying a combination of true lumen pro strips and marineland reef capable now i have the AI aqua illumination sol super blue modules. These lights are on a whole other level

I spoke to the tech at Current USA about adding the Marine Fusion strips to my 6 ft long 180 gallon FOWLR tank. I am currently using the marineland "kit" basic T8 lights. He suggested two 36" lights, as opposed to one 48" strip so that there wouldnt be dark areas at each end. Since my tank has a tank brace in the middle using two strips will avoidn a shadow as well.

I hope to order them ASAP, but I would like to hear how others are enjoying them. The tech said to grow corals he recommended four 36" strips on a 180 gallon tank that is 24" deep.

I ended up going with 4 - 12" Marine Fusion on my 35 hex(24" deep).

I started with 2, but it wasn't nearly enough. So I picked up a couple of more and not it's pretty bright.

Cost me right around $200 for the 4 strips and power supply thru a seller on Ebay.

I've debated adding a couple of the 8000K strips, but my hood doesn't really have room for them.

I have 2 36" Marine Fusion strips over my 125 FOWLR. I think they give off a decent amount of light. The only thing I don't really like about them is the color. They produce a violet color. Very unnatural looking. With all that aside i'm pretty happy with them as far as nice and thin in my canopy. It's good for a FOWLR tank. I wouldn't even consider them for a reef tank. The tech telling you that you would need 4 is crap in my opinion. these leds are 1/3 of a watt. Even with 4 of them there is no way you would be able to grow corals with them. Maybe mushrooms or GSP.

Well my corals seem pretty happy under them, everything from shrooms to SPS. It's all about placement on the rock pile.

Only time will tell, there are others using these lights with great results.

For me, and my setup, the price was right and the results are good so far.

Well now I am confused as to what LED to order. I heard the Marine Fusion gave a very natural light that brought out the colors of the fish with hint of blue.

I do not want my FOWLR tank to look violet. I want do do away with the "haze" effect I am getting with the 50/50 T-8 bulbs and get a little more glimmer and sparkle from an LED light.

I don't want to drop almost $400 on the Marine Fusion 36" strips and have to return them....anyone wanna comment on the color Jfingers is talking about?

Here is a picture of my tank. The camera has a hard time handling the brightness of the lights, and it does look bluer in the picture then it does in person.

In my opinion, the color is very good in person. I had 50/50 PC lighting before, and it was more of a yellow tint. Now with these lights, it's a crisp white/blue with the shimmer......I'm very happy with them overall. Some people have mentioned that they use a strip of 8000K with them to get more yellow light in the mix, but I haven't done that. If I had more room in my canopy I might pick 1-2 of them up, but since I don't and my corals are growing fine...........I'm just sticking with what I have.
