Red Bubble ID Help (w/ pics)
OK, I just happened to notice a few limpets (not sure where they came from) and a red bubble algae type sac in the corner of my return. Anybody know what these red bubble sacs are?
They are less dense than bubble algae Ive seen before. Reddish like cyanobacteria. They will squish, inside is a clearish like snot substance. There are about 9 of them I just found in the corner. Do I need to take drastic action or nothing to worry about? |

These are Botryocladia either Botryocladia pseudodichotoma or Botryocladia skottsbergii. Another possibility is Chrysymenia kaernbachii.
