should i do freshwater dip to a mandarim fish

Would you advise for a freshwater dip before introducing a mandarin fish in main tank. Since QT of this particular fish is difficult if not impossible i was considering a freswater dip. Please share your thoughts

I would avoid it because Mandarinfish have a slime coat that protects them from a wide variety of nasties. In addition, I would freshwater dip any fish unless you already see signs of problem. An unneccessary dip would just cause stress.

Fresh water dips will only relieve (but not cure) oodinium not do not affect ich. Doing a fresh water dip without reason is not a good practice.
