No what? New bought coral

Ok so I just bought a couple frags, this is my first time buying them when their are on a frag disk and not the rock itself. So i acclimated them and applied the coral dip yesterday.. Today I noticed that some of them are gettin off of the frags I guess the glue wore off? :/
How do I get the corals to stick to the live rock? Or should i glue them back onto the frag disc???
AnOther question . How long does it take for the coral to get it's original color? and my Kenya tree is all Lob sided is thAt normal? If anyone could help I would appreciate it...

1st pic shows your kenya tree in the background. Second pic looks like torch coral to me. Really hard to tell what the 3rd pic is of (with the green dots). Maybe green star polyps? The 4th pic you mentioned devils hand could be, looks like a regular toadstool leather to me. The 5th pic of "others" looks like mushrooms, waving hand, and birdsnest. And the last pic looks like a bunch of waving hand. That stuff spreads like crazy. I don't like it.

Sorry about the double post. Reef Central has been freaking out these past few hours. Super super slow.

As for affixing your new corals to your rocks, most every coral you can just rip it off the disk and wedge it in some rocks. With a little time, it will recover and then attach to the rocks. You can try just wedging the whole disk and everything in the rocks. Eventually the coral will affix to anything around it, but odds are it won't let go of the disk. I'm pretty brutal to my corals sometimes. They're surprisingly resilient.

Hard to tell, but seems like the 3rd pic could be a Toadstool. I would suggest you slow down and research corals first before going out and buying a whole bunch when you don't even know what they are. You need to figure out the specific requirements of each coral, and the requirements of soft corals and SPS are vastly different if you are not aware.

Soft Corals can not be "glued", they will attach themselves, some times a rubber band & some rubble will help, once attached to something hard, then you can epoxy or glue it where you want it.

Alright thanks everyone for your advice . I knew the names but I forgot and I saw that all could be kept under the 8 bulb t5 ho light fixture I have. I know I went too fast in buying the corals I wont buy any new ones anymore I'ma let the ones I have grow. Mushrooms have grown twice in size as well ad Xenia ..

So is it better to leave the frags on the disk? The hammer and toadstools are already on the rock they went apart from the disk , I snugged them in between some crevices in the rock but making sure no light will be blocked from them
How long should it take for corals to attach?

That really looks like waving hand coral. Not xenia.

And it takes different amounts of time for different corals.

Well my friend that gave it to me Said it was a purple pulsing Xenia ?. The Xenia is in the 2nd last picture is that the same pic your talking about?

Should I move the zoas closer to the rocks so they can affix into the rock an not sand ,?

They're almost the same thing. The proper name is anthelia I believe. Google the two and check it out for yourself. Or post the pic in the coral ID forum and ask for more opinions.

But then you have discs in your display forever. I'd really just man up and rip them off the disc. Do it with a little grace, but don't be afraid either. That torch coral or frogspawn or whatever it is for example.... it's just epoxied to the disc. If you apply some pressure it will likely snap right off at the epoxy joint.

And most every softy is ridiculously resilient. They look like they might be hurt, but the truth is they're mostly water. So if you beat them up while transporting/fragging/gluing/etc them, they wither for one day then plump back up over 2-3 days. It's no big deal.

Encrusting corals, such as montiporas, is another story. They're the one type of coral I'd leave on the disc and allow it to crawl onto nearby rocks. You really can't pry them off. Let it spread, then remove the disc and sell it as a frag to someone else.

I ended up taking your advice and took them off the discs the only ones I left on were the birdnest, and zoas. The torch coral was real hard grip so I left him on the disc i will try again tomorrow . Other than that the rest closed up since I moved them in between rocks so they can get a hold of it.
