Noobs & Corals/Color
G'day
I am still nw to "reef" keeping although I have kept other tanks in the past just never housed any coral or any real "color" I was wondering if someone could give me a good headstart either by posting a thread already about this subject or recommending some easy to keep corals for beginners I am currently in the process of setting up a large tank to hopefully house a mated pair of spearer mantis shrimps so as far as them attacking corals I don't see this happening but, they are big burrowers and I am not sure about there tolerance to light...so I'd prefer corals that didn't requrie MASSIVE amounts of lighting Cheers

if you want a lower light tank, many mushroom corals and deeper water LPS are the way to go, but "lower light" is relative to tank depth. 400W Metal halides may be considered high light over an 18" deep tank, but would be low-moderate light over a 32" deep tank.

To give you an idea the tank is 48"x18"x18" I was thinking about some Zoa's but not to sure about there requirements, like difficulty and light requirements, the colors that they offer seem ENDLESS! Cheers mate edit: your avatar has some beautiful looking Zoa's in it!!! exactly what I am talkin about
