Introducing new live rock

I would like to introduce about 30 pounds of new live rock to my tank. It already has inverts, fish and rock in it. What is the correct procedure to do this without hurting what is already in the tank?
The new rock will be coming out of a friends tank and into mine. It's been in his tank for about 8 years.

sence it is already cured, just try to transfer the rock in water and place it in the new tank. the less time the rock is out of the water the better.

Just be careful you don't introduce any hitchers that you don't want when you bring it in. Being already cured you won't have to worry about it causing a ammonia spike, just transfer it in water as mentioned before.

HappyHarry, you are from London, Ontario. Ha. My Dad's family had a farm just outside of London. A typical old farm family with 13 kids!

London is a beautiful city. You're a long way from home but much warmer I bet.
