Cloudy Water Please help
I am starting a 45 gal w/ a 25 gal sump.
I got her running last night, everything is great flow wise but Im having clouding issues from my sand. I did my best not to stir the sand but it did. I have a very fine live sand. filter has been running for 24 hrs and its still pretty clouded. I have a micron sock and a skimmer running,i also added a t shirt in the spill over into the return chamber it is helping but I dont know what else to do. I have a trigger sump so I have a place for carbon if that may help, seems I need something finer than a micron sock Please help I am really jonsing clear water Thanks |

I used a 400 Emperor HOB with all slots filled with filters. It took care of the fine sand cloud in 24 hours.

I put pillow stuffing in the overflow and handled it pretty quick, it also keep the water falling over quiet also.
