Bulkhead options
Hy guys,
I’ve never ordered a drilled aquarium before. I will have a whole plumbed system with sched 40 pvc going down to my basement. I’m basically going to order my tank with slip/slip bulk heads, cement them to unions and go from there. Is there any reason to do anything else like using vinyl hose and heater hose clamps? This tank will stay were it is for a long time. Is there any reason I shouldn’t plum straight down to a basement sump? In quite a few pictures of similar setups, I’ve seen that looping flex hose was used before going into PVC pipe. |

If it's going from the basement I would probably go with pvc just so its a little more rigid going from basement to your display only downfall if and when you move it you have to cut the pvc with vinyl its easier to move of course
