Suggestions for some fish?

Hey all, just wanted to get some opinions on what to throw in my tank. It's a 75g w/ a 20g sump. All I have in there now is 2 skunk cleaner shrimp, a few snails, and a pistol shrimp that came in on a piece of rock, which was about a half inch when I threw it in.

I tried putting in a Yellow Watchman Goby a few weeks ago after being in qt for about 4 weeks. After 2 days of being in the tank, it figured out a way to get into the overflow and into the filter sock which i didn't find til a day later and it was a goner... Now I'm in the process of fixing that so it doesn't happen again.

I know I will be getting most likely 2 Pink Skunk Clowns and wanted to get a Purple LTA for them but I am not sure if my sand bed is deep enough. Its about 3 inches. Anyone think that will be ok for a LTA? If anyone doesn't mind giving me some suggestions for fish. Thank you!

Sorry for the long post.

That sand bed will be suffiecient. The LTA will bury it's foot under the sand and likely attach to the rock under the sand. Mine did. What kind of lighting do you have? LTA's require intense light.

Wrasses, dwarf angels, there are some species of tangs that you can house in that size tank, but you should only choose one per 75g. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1946007

clowns are always good. maybe a Kole tang? Perhaps you may like wrasses (will need to cover tank to avoid jumpers), firefish, and anthias are usually good choices.

Sugar Magnolia, I have a 48" T5 fixture. It houses 6 x 54w lights so it's about 324 watts, so just a little over 4 watts per gallon. Would this be sufficent? I was looking at a tang and i do understand i can only have one. I was also looking at dwarf angels, now are they reef safe or is it only a few of them that may nip at corals? I plan on getting a few corals as well.

aandfsoccr04, was thinking either a kole or a mimic. Any others i can house in a 75? I will look into some of those other ones you mentioned. My tank is covered with clear mesh netting screens that i made.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!

You might have to make the sandbed a bit deeper -- but it can be deeper locally, where the M. doreensis (( LTA )) is located.

I used to have a pink skunk/purple LTA combo, was pretty nice.

Thanks Todd, when I first became interested in Pink Skunks I happened to come across your with the LTA combo and I said I have to have that, yours were amazing. Now they are in a carpet correct?

I can do this since I have spare sand I can put in the tank, but wouldn't this be difficult? Since I won't know where the LTA will situate itself? Or will it most likely stay where I try to bury it? Also any suggestions on where to get a purple one?

I'm holding off on a LTA for another few months, I have a case of which I believe is dyno that I had for about 2 months now. Can't seem to shake it, I have dont some periods of lights out and some GFO and Carbon.

when choosing fish I section off my tank into zones and fill the zones with the right number and type of fish. as an example your 75 has 6 zones in my book. top, middle, bottom, rock, left and right. Top: 3 or 5 Chromis. Middle: (actually everywhere!) a small tang or other free swimmer. Bottom: Blenny or jawfish. Rock: Hawkfish or dragonet if you are willing to buy pods. Left or Right: clowns and nem the other side from where the nem sets up maybe something just as flashy like a royal gramma or any number of wrasse.

I sold them to a local breeder a while ago, but yes they were in an S. haddoni before I sold them. I now have an orange skunk pair, at first they were hosted by an S. haddoni, and now they are hosted by 2 M. doreensis.
