Eurobrace

Stupid question, I know.
What is a eurobraced tank?
Does anyone have pictures of one so that I can see what that means?

Google 'euro brace + aquarium', you'll have plenty of it.

so basically it is just like an inch and a half of lid around the tank? What's the point of it? I'd assume stability.

You're correct (except depending on the size of the tank, it's usually more than just an inch of bracing and it's not a lid, it is actually attached to the top of the tank)... it helps brace the tank without (in most cases) having middle braces (which are aesthetically less appealing to some). I just ordered a tank that will have this type of bracing.
