Definition of Cyano and Bryopsis please
Just wondering what your definition of these two terms are and what the cause is and how to get rid of it f it is not a good thing to have in your tank. I have seen these terms mentioned quite frequently but am totally clueless of what it is. Thank you!

both will come up with a lot of results on google or here on reefcentral with a search
But to break it down quickly cyano is a photosynthetic bacteria that's been around from just about the beginning of life on earth. Bryopsis is a nasty type of green hair algae that is fairly difficult to get rid of once established. Both like nitrates and phosphates in your system and both can be reduced by reducing nitrates and phosphates.
