Will BRS Dosers start a siphon??

If my jugs are higher than my pumps and outlet will it start a siphon or do I need the jugs lower.

I say this b/c I have a shelf I really want to use that is above my sump but I was afraid it may cause a siphon and wind up draining the whole gallon jug into the sump...

So.. Does anyone else have the BRS dosers and have their jugs higher than the outlets...

A real Peristalic pump like at the hospital seems to work fine with the solution higher than the pump...

No it shouldnt because at any given time the hose is actually pinched off by the rollers.

A slow drip can be made up for I would think and if its after a long time of use then I am not worried... I just want to be dang sure that when I put the jugs up and hook up the hoses that I am not going to pour a gallon of solution into my tank.
