filling tank and sump? Levels?
Im filling up my tank and sump right now. Im currently just letting the water go down the overflow on the dt and fill up the sump too. Is this a good way to get the water level I want when the power is off?

Sounds logical to me. If there is a more accurate method I would be interested to hear it as well.

Not knowing how big your DT or sump are, and also not knowing how much left over space there is in the DT, just be careful when you turn the pump on. If it can pump faster than the water drains, you could overflow the DT. Not very likely, but possible. I know I can, but I can pump30-40g out of my sump with a 3200gph pump, and I can't drain that fast, and if a drain is clogged...
