Finally caught my peppermint shrimp!
I was just about to give up on this shrimp coming out of hiding and make the bottle trap to try to get him out when he ventured just far enough out of his cave for me to devise a plan to catch him. I slowly rolled the rock around each time coaxing him to a spot with less and less cover and crevices. Finally I got him to let go of the rock and go hide in a corner. Then it was just the shrimp, me , the net and the clock. 10 minutes later he was netted and plopped into his new 40B home. He immediately started checking it out - close to 3x larger in usable area and seems to have settled in inside a nice cave.
Woo Hoo! Now I can break down the old tank! |
