Exclamation pix of your starfire tank with black or white silicone, please

Hi, Hal's wife here. You might know my poor hubby has been puzzling over the black/white silicone debate over the weekend. We're having a hard time finding head-on, lit up photos of tanks with 3/4 inch (not necessary, but nice) starfire and white silicone. We'd also love to see some more with black silicone. Can you help us out? TIA.

Love the minimal aquascape. Very sleek and modern look.

Hal's wife here again. These are beautiful tanks!

Bunzaroo, does the clear/opaque silicon always glow so blue, or is that because the rest of the room, by contrast, is darker? Do you find that glow distracting, or do you find that it blends well with the --dare I say it-- magical feeling of a salt tank?

Mark54321, do you feel that the black helps "frame" the tank, or do you feel like it provides an artificial barrier to the "vista" that is your tank setup?

Thanks so much, and I'd welcome more views of other tanks!

I've had a tone of regular glass w/ the white/clear silicone in the past, to me they always get dirty and are impossible to clean and get back to looking like they did on day one. With the black silicone that hasn't been the case. I recently purchased a 60 gallon tank with the black silicone and I will never buy a white/clear silicone tank ever again.

It looks so much cleaner to me and my SO. We had no idea it would make such a difference but it did. On the white/silicone tanks they all eventually started to turn brownish and discolored which really thinking about it now looks disgusting. But the black silicone doesn't seem to discolor with time, but I've only had it for a few months. I setup a smaller white/clear silicone tank at the same time and it's already beginning to discolor.

Unfortunately the tank is at home and I am stuck at work, but maybe tomorrow I can snap a picture before I have to head to work.
