Polario Mini powerhead-Possible problem?

I have a Polario 10ML mini powerhead; I believe these are made by RIO. I have been running this for 2 month now, and it is starting to make a sound as if metal is being grinded in the mechanism. It is starting to do it more and more, and makes bubbles during the event. Has anyone experienced this? It seems to early to need a cleaning already.

Thanks

Did you find anything out about the problem. I am looking to buy one of these and have been looking for reviews.

After much sitting and watching the tank I did find out what was making the noise. It turns out that this pump creates a strong enough venturi to suck air down from the surface. When it does this it puts air into the perpeller, and make an annoying sound. I fixed this by moving the pump down in the tank.

As far as reviews go, it is all dependant on what the application of the pump is going to be. What are you planning on using the pump for? Additional flow, killing dead spots??

What size tank do you have?

I personally use this pump in the center of my tank, although I have not moved it around to see what it can do in the corner blasting the walls. It does a decent job moving the water around, and I am happy with my purchase. It produces strong flow, and the fish love it. I believe it operates in 5 second intervals. 5 slow, 5 medium, 5 fast- then rotates to the other side. I choose to use only one, although two working together could created some nice movement. Im not sure I am in the position to give a right up about this quite yet, but I will in a few months once I have tried other applications.

If your curious about specific things let me know, I can move this thing around and let you know what the outcome is, or answer any questions that I am able to answer. I have had this pump for 3 months, and so far is runs like a champ.
