Powerhead question
Hey.
I am setting up a 36G bowfront, and have a question about powerheads. I am looking at the Koralia Evolution 750 (plus the turbulence created by my skimmer) as the providers of flow in my tank. I notice most people buy more than 1 powerhead, based on my readings here. Can I use one if enough GPH will be moving, or do I need to get 2, at the risk of having far too much flow for the tank? And, just to check that I am on the right track with my equipment/setup, as of now, I have live-ish sand (it sat for about a week before getting into a tank), a mixture of live and dead rock (about 30-40 lbs, 10-15 of which is live), an AquaC Remora with Maxi Jet 1200, and the Coralife Lunar Aqualight T5 HO. My goal is to start with a couple fish and LPS, with the eventual aim of adding the SPS. Will I be able to do that with the setup I have now plus this powerhead? Thanks, Jessica |

The big advantage to multiple powerheads is multiple sources of flow. Laminar flow isnt the best or corals especially sps.
