what to do with dead snails/crabs
I have a number of hermit crabs and cerith snails in my tank. A lot of times, they crawl under rocks or into rocks and I have no idea where they are or how to locate them. If they die, do they need to be removed or will the other crabs/snails take care of it fast enough that I won't have to worry about the ammonia levels...
How would you know where to look if a snail or crab died in rock? |

Nothing to worry about. The clean up crew and LR hitchhikers will make short work of a dead carcass.

It shouldnt be a big deal unless your having mass deaths because of some other issue but a small crab or snail isnt going to turn into more ammonia than your bb can handle in my opinion.

+1 on all that. Your CUC will take care of all of it
