Bulk Reef Supply Reactors

Can I have my overflow from my two dual 1" drains feed their reactors? just tee off the return with a ball valve to control flow?

that doesnt sound like a good idea...the reactors would need to have huge ports to make that work imo.

Bad idea. The reactor requires pressurized flow from a pump. Not to mention if the reactor clogged up it could cause your tank to overflow.

You can divert part of your return to feed the reactors...Many, including myself, do this so we dont have to use another pump...It works great

I would not recommend using your overflow to feed them though...

T off your return. Most reactors, especially calcium are going to operate better preasurized.

Not to mention the fact that the water from the overflow is not filtered yet, high chance of clogging up your media real quick the way you presented.
