Sea swirl question
Any sea swirl owners out there? Did you drill an air hole somewhere to prevent back siphon upon power loss? If not how do you prevent back siphon on those?
Thanks |

I drilled holes. Unless you check them very frequently they'll be plugged when the power goes out. Be sure to have a big enough sump to hold the back siphon.

No holes for me. I run them on a closed loop, so if power goes out there is no siphon. (Like running a canister filter).

No holes for me either. I have a backflow preventer on the line. Seemed better than drilling holes and hoping they didn't get plugged up with algae.

I drilled mine...3 small holes just to make sure if they get plugged up and I don't catch it.
