Question Overflow design..

I’m building a new tank and it’s a 96” in length and 54” deep. One side is 24” wide and other end is 36” wide. It’s one side glass tank build with concrete. I already build the tank and fix the front glass.

Now trying to figure out what’s the best overflow system is. Finally I came up with this idea as show in the diagram and want to know what you guys think about it.

Thanks.

The diagram does not show up. How are you going to clean a 54" deep tank? Scuba gear?

And here are some pictures of actual tank. Just fill the tank with fresh water and phosporic acid to start curing it. That’s my friend who’s in the tank helping me with cleaning the tank.

So this is like 673 gallons or so by my rough estimate just on the tank. How big of a fuge/sump type thing do you have going?

Also, have you given any thought to evaporation? You will probably want a dehumidifier somewhere near that so as to not ruin your house :-)

Awesome tank, btw. I must follow this thread.

Guys its stone age of reef aquarium here in Sri Lanka. So I’m having lot of problems getting the equipments I need. It’s going to be so expensive because of 50% custom tax on marine aquarium items when I import them coz everything marine aquarium falls under luxury category.

So I don’t know what kind of equipments I can get. I’m gona plan it as it goes. One thing I know for sure is I’m going to use 16 × Giesemann T5 bulbs on ice cap. It will be 5× aquablue, 4× actinic plus, 4× pure actinic and 3× aquapink.

No SneakyPete it will be about 578 gallons coz water level is only 50” deep. And yes I’m installing two 23” exhaust fans above the tank.

Any ideas about my overflow? I’m worried it’s not going flow out all the debris in the tank.

btw if I can get my hands on good equipments I will create a build thread later. Don’t think no one wants to see a Stone Age reef aquarium lol
