MH type

I was wondering if I could get some input on what type of light that I am going to put over my Solana. It had a 150 electronic that let all of the magic smoke out of, so It was removed and a DIY led system was put in. But I would like to make this a sps and a few lps tank. I was thinking of going to a 250 watt MH. But what type? Want the pop of the colors. So I was thinking 14k. Has a little blue to it and the colors should look good, or should I go with the 20k? I know it will be very blue, but will growth be affected? Or should I go with 150w MH?

I started with 10k then went to 14k I never seen much of a difference. If you really like the color a little bluer go fo a 20k MH I run 2 of them and 2 130w dual attinic over my 75gl But of course I really like a deeper blue.

20k geisman for sure and a 250 would be large for most unless your going with a sps dominant tank then the 250 will do perfect

I would go with this setup for the halide and reconfigure your led setup to provide dawn dusk.

Galaxy select-a-watt ballast.

and a radium 20k
