coralife 65 super skimmer stopped blowing bubbles

I did a 50% water change
added my christmas presants (a korolia 1050 and marinland penguin 300 pumps)
cleaned the skimmer (algae growing inside it because it's hanging on the back)
and now it won't blow bubbles
the pump works because it pushes water up into the cone

Take it apart and reassemble - might not be sealed/tight....

Ok, I have the larger Coralife needle wheel skimmer, the problem is most likely the grey plastic piece that fits onto the pump and the air line that is connected to it, remove the piece & airline & check to see if the skinny grey post is clogged with salt creep, I know mine was & does become clogged periodiacally, I use pipe cleaners & a very, very skinny long pointed kitchen knife to scrape out the inside of it but you must be careful because the piece is kinda fragile. Test it first by removing your airline from the noise filter (thats what I call it), the round piece with two posts that the airline fits onto, anyway, blow directly into the airline & see if you get any bubbles coming out of the pump & or into the chamber, if not, that is your problem & I'm willing to bet it is. Good luck to you & happy holidays.

Easier way to clean the air intake is to periodically dip it in fresh water and let it suck some RO/DI top off water through the air intake. When I used skimmers that was part of routine maintenance.

If it's fully clogged that won't work however. You'll probably have to disassemble and clean as the above post recommended.
