Dolophin vs Reeflow quality

Hello,
I ordered a reeflow pump but will return it since viewing photos of one being disassembled with a rusty shaft presumably caused by a failed seal.
Rust can not be good.
My question is ,does Dolphin with a type 4 seal have similar rust problem or do they use materials better able to cope with the harsh enviroment?
Thanks,David

Wait a second. Don't get me wrong - the dolphin pumps are great but the ReeFlo pumps are just as good! Any pump can get a bad seal! I have seen ReeFlo pumps used non-stop for many years with no problems. You really didn't need to return that pump...

But that shaft should not be rusting. Not if it was titanium ,ceramic or at least stainless.

I have both pumps and have replaced seals on both. Both get rust on the shafts and its only surface rust. Stainless steel does rust, try putting a SS clamp in your tank. IMO, the reeflo pumps are better overall quality, especially when it comes with the baldor motor. Would chose it over a dolphin every time. ALL seals will leak eventually, nature of the beast.
