lighting for a 125 gallon?

would t5s 320 watts (4 80watt bulbs) be ok for a standard 125 gallon? only lps and soft corals. my other question is would 3 150 watt halides be ok or better? thanx

I switched from a 3 x 150 hqi with 4 x 24 watt pc to a 6 x 80 ATI t5 for my 135 and the t5 is much superior.

really i thought it would be the other way around. the fixture im looking at is only 4 80 watt bulbs i dont know if that would be good enough.waht r the dem. of ur tank?

I did a lot of research before purchasing. Aqua illumination leds Sol Blues might be worth looking into. I am a newby but I love mine.

I would get the 6 bulb

I'd get the 6 bulb as well. Always take into account the possibility that you may want to try and keep other corals requiring higher lighting in the future. You can't go wrong the 6 bulb system in that sense. I'm also a fan of the t5's for their ability to be cost effective alternatives to halides and also producing less heat. good luck!
