safe method of tank transfer of snail???????

i upgraded tank size and need to move my tiger cowrie snail as he is all that is left in the old tank.

how do i get him to release his grip on the glass in a bare bottom tank without damaging him

He should crawl on anything put nearby or touching him to irritate him. A credit card or similar item can get under him gently. A spoon etc.
