Clown trouble...Urgent!

The other day, two of my fish died and my gold stripe maroon clown was on his way out as well. he had cloudy skin from excess slime production, popeye, cloudeye, and it looks like a few of his scales turned gray. he was swimming at the top of the tank and wouldnt accept food. since then, i got him into quaretntine and treated him with malachite green and formalin because i suspected external parasites like marine velvet or a protozoan infestation like brooklynella. since i started treating him, his popeye has subsided, his eyes were no longer cloudy and i cant see any excess slime production. i want to know if anybody has had similar problems so that i can figure out what is wrong with him and give him proper treatment. at this point, im just guessing

No helpful info but keep us posted on his recovery. Maybe you can help someone in the future.

Sounds like you got things under control, keep him in QT for a couple more weeks and get him eating.

Are there any other fish in the DT at this time?

If not I would keep the tank fishless for 8-10 weeks total, that should allow any parasitic organism to die off with out being able to reproduce. If there are other fish I would take them out to QT as well and treat them profilacticly (maybe do a half dose unless the present with signs of illness).

Glad you are worknig with that fish in Qt. I would be?????? what caused this in the tank he came from.

Sorry not trying to be hurtful but no one on this site can read your Ammonia, Nitrite or Nitrate levels.

Post your tank parameter on these things and folk's will try to figure it out with you.

All of my parameters are fine. its the first thing i checked. there are two other fish in th dt and they seem to be ok. i would quarantine them but i am worried that my qt will get overcrowded because the clown is a 4 inch fish and then i have a 5 inch lawnmower blenny and a six line wrasse that i know i wont be able to catch. also i have two shrimp. maybe it could have been stress. i just added a new sump and the water in the dt got all cloudy the day we turned it on. the day after that was the day that the two fish died.
