Help Identify - White Spots in Sump
I started seeing these white looking spots in my sump a few weeks ago and whatever it is, it seems to be getting worse. They seem to stick to the acrylic and plastic on the pumps. They are hard and I can get them off with my finger nail. I have only seen one spot in my display. It was on my wave maker.
I do not keep corals. The only thing that I have added or changed is: 1. I started making my own water and using D&D salt. 2. I added some snails. Anyone know what it is?

Are they little spirals? They look like Spirorbid worms, which are little hitchhikers that grow in shaded areas. They are harmless.

They seem flat to me but I will look at them closer.

I've been told they are actually a type of non-mobile snails. Either way they are harmless

They may be little spirals. I took some out and they do seem to have a swirl.
