MH Burn in time

Can someone tell me how long it usually takes for new MH bulbs to burn in. I ordered a new set of bulbs, both are 14K. They look super blue, much more then before. How long before the start looking a bit more white?

Depends on the bulb and the ballast firing it. IME the Phoenix takes a good while, in some cases a few months to lighten up a little. If run on an electronic ballast, it may take longer than with a magnetic, but that is not a given as some of the newer ballasts have come a long ways in firing bulbs.

I am guessing we are talking about 175 watt bulbs, but which bulb are you working with, and ballast?
