Are these led's legit?

Saw these on ebay, was wondering if they would be adequate enough to support corals?

Link? But just coming from eBay alone, if I was a betting man I'd say no. Also give us details on your tank (depth) and what kind of corals.

I would go DYI Leds. Cheaper and gives a feeling of self accomplishment. And lets you pick the color you want to go with. With those particular units they are 2 colors (blue/white) With DIY you can add Red or UV as well for better coloration

The second is a clone of the marineland reef capable. The marineland one can't do SPS. Also, it is a very narrow field of light (6-8 in). If you are looking for a cheap light for softies/lps, get the marineland one.

The first is a clone of a pretty good light that I can't remember the name of... I also read that someone bought it off ebay. I think it was a local (salt-city.org, kcreef.com) forum. If I find the thread, I'll forward the link.

I have very similar. They're more than adequate for my 30" mixed reef with clams on the bottom. Been using them for a year and everything grows great with excellent color

Well you guys just sold me. I bought three of these. I will tell you how it goes when they get here on the 20th. You guys haven't let me down in the past, so hopefully this will cure my electric bill nightmare. Now if I could buy something of ebay to cut down on my grocery bill?

Our local club has several members have done DIY leds. So far everyone is happy with them. We have a nice forum, with several of the DIY threads over on theseas.org.
