How many fish in a 72 gal?

I have a mixed reef,and a yellow tang,coral beauty,bi-colored blennie,how many more fish can i put in this tank before i start having nitrate problems.

depends on your filtration....if you have no sump and you are not running a good skimmer then you may be at or near your max. tell us more about your filtration adn we can help you a bit better

As stated above. I would go with a couple more small fish like a wrasse, basslet or some of the better tempered damsels.

In my 72 bowfront I have 3 lyretail anthias, 1 dragon faced pipefish, 1 yellow tang (small), 1 blue hippo tang ( small), 1 velvet wrasse, and 2 snowflake clown fish for a total of 9.
However, I run an oversized skimmer, carbon and am currently dosing vodka to control nitrates.

I have a euroreef skimmer forget the model but the guy I bought it from had it on a 125gal reef.I have 20 gal sump and I am in the process of building a 20 gal refuge.This skimmer pulls more gunk out than any skimmer i have ever had.

i have about the same set-up with
RABBIT FISH greatest algea grazer ever
MATED BLACKWHITE AND ORANGEWHITE CLOWNS
HAWKFISH
YELLOW WATCHMAN WITH PISTAL SHRIMP BUDDY
BLUE YELLOW DAMSEL
CORAL BEAUTY ANGEL

SO I HAVE AND HAVE HAD 7 FISH FOR MANY YEARS AND A FULLY STOCK REEF WITH NO ISSUES and happy community

That what I was thinking about 7 or 8 fish.
