ID Help, Please
Hello,
My tank has been setup about a year. I have a yellow slime that is spreading in the tank, along with little stalks all over. I have attached a picture, can I get some ID help, please? Thanks DJ |

its hard to tell with the low quality pic
its either algae or a sponge, the reason i dont think its a sponge is 1)the collor looks green 2)its growing on the top of the rock in light (all my sponges grow away from light)

Looks like green cyano
Siphon and water changes will help, make sure your flow is good, cyano hates good flow.

Cyanobacteria. Siphon it off, it should come off in mats. That and medium constant water changes (10%) should clear it up within a few weeks. This stuff can be quite the battle once it's out of control.

+1 Cyano. Try to reduce your nutrients. GFO can be a big help with this, typically. JMTC & GL!
