170 Gallon DAS aquarium

Hello i just purchased a 170 gallon Dutch Aquarium systems tank. The tank is 48"Lx24"widex30"deep I removed the filtration system that sits inside the tank because i wanted the added room in the tank. I am wanting to get the glass holes dual 1500 kit having it flow about 3' down into a wet/dry filtration box with a protein skimmer or if you can recommend a certain setup (This is my first big reef tank, previous 75 gal that was reef ready). I will be having about 80-100 lbs live dand and about 150-200 lbs live rock with mostly softy corals and possiably some hard corals as well i will be using 3x 150w led lighting. My first question is that i can not seem to find anywhere if this glass is tempered the whole tank is 1/2" glass i am wanting to drill the back of the tank not the bottom. The second question is i am wanting to turn about 1000-1200 gph through the filtration and back into the tank what in sump pump would you suggest and what diameter pcv to use as a return i will have about 5.5' of head running back up to the top of the tank and prolly 5 90degree elbows.

Thank you,
Eric

Ok got a hold of the owner of DAS todan and the whole aquarium is not tempered glass so i will be ordering the glass-holes 1500 kit

My plans are to use a proclear 200 wet/dry filtration with a octopus extreme 160 skimmer and mag 12 return pump will this be sufficient or does anyone recommend anything better for similar price.

Thank you

I have the glass holes 1500 kit also. Great kit! easy to drill & install. Just take your time and don't rush it during the drilling process.

If you are going to have coral you dont want a wet dry system. I dont want to get into the long winded discussion on it so just search wet/dry filters on here and you'll get info.
