Rowaphos and carbon piles in the sump

I am running two seperate Next Ref media reactors, one with carbon and the other with Rowaphos. The flow is not very strong through them (the Rowaphos is slightly turning and moving, and the carbon is slightly moving as well). I am starting to get piles of Rowaphos and carbon in the sump and frag tank, and I can only assume some is making its way up to the Display. Is that Bad?, will it start leaching things I don't want into the water? Also how can I prevent this from happening? Thanks
