Top off questions.... Please help.

I have a small closet for this. The space for the container is about 16" x 20". I'm trying to decide what to use for the water storage and if I should mix the kalk in the big container or run the top off water through a second 1 gallon jug that I can add the kalk to. That way the kalk will be running through less stuff and there won't be as much of it at one time. I'm using a dosing pump that will deliver 1/2 liter in a 10 minute period. I think it will take 5 or 6 of these periods every 24 hrs. I might be over thinking the second container. Can I just mix up 10 gallons of kalk and let it run for 15 or 20 days? Or does it need to be fresher? I'm thinking as I moniter it I can add powder or dilute it to make the adjustments. Making my self a little crazy here so please give me some input.

Or-- if I just go with a 5gal bucket with a lid on it can I fill it with kalk and let it run for like 8 days? I figure I will test pretty often and if the levels rise I can just add some fresh water to dilute and if they drop I will increase the powder for the next batch? Any input?

I would mix a 1/2 tsp to a tsp per gallon into your ato to start and see how that works for you and add more if needed.
