controller suggestions

So I want to get a controller for my 220. The MAIN things that I need it to do are PH, Temp, Feed mode, email alerts, water on the floor alert, dimming my Rapid Led light kit, sun rise/set effect, expandablity for down the road.

I my top choice is the Neptune Apex, not the lite or the jr since with the ReefKeeper you seem to have to buy an extra module for each of the above listed things.

Also where is the best place/price for these?

I could not agree more I have the Apex. Unfortunalty all the pricing is about the same all over. I think its an agreement with Neptune? Now I will say that some places will ship free if you spend over a certin amount, and the Apex generally quailifies for that.

The Apex will do everything you listed, except you either need to buy a digital breakout box $39.00 or make one of your own.

what do i need the digital break out box for? whats it do?

you'll need the box if you want to connect water (flood) sensor.

Break out boxes are for as stated above flood sensors or any other dry contact switch Floats, push,buttons on / off switches, some even use humidity controled switches to turn on a exhaust fan. So the uses for the breakout box either DIY or factory is the way to get information back to the Apex
